Kurs rupiah terhadap dollar AS di pasar spot antarbank Jakarta, Rabu (10/3/2010) sore, naik 15 poin menjadi Rp 9.175-Rp 9.185 per dollar AS dibanding penutupan hari sebelumnya, Rp 9.190-Rp 9.200. Hal ini terjadi karena pelaku pasar kembali membeli rupiah.Direktur Retail Banking PT Bank Mega Tbk Kostaman Thayib di Jakarta, Rabu, memperkirakan bahwa rupiah dapat naik lagi terhadap dollar AS. "Kami optimistis, pasar masih positif. Hal ini mendorong rupiah terus menguat hingga mendekati angka Rp 9.150 per dollar AS," ucapnya.
Faktor utama yang mendorong pelaku membeli rupiah menurutnya terlihat dari penjualan obligasi pemerintah yang terus meningkat karena pelaku asing aktif membeli surat utang negara itu. "Selain itu, indikator ekonomi makro Indonesia yang terus membaik juga memberikan kepercayaan pelaku asing untuk tetap menginvestasikan dananya di pasar domestik," katanya.
Menurut Kostaman, Indonesia masih menjadi pasar potensial yang memberikan keuntungan ketimbang pasar lainnya. Oleh karena itu, investasi asing terus meningkat. "Kondisi ini merupakan peluang bagi rupiah untuk terus menguat hingga menjauhi angka Rp 9.200 poin," ujarnya.
Ia mengatakan, kenaikan rupiah itu juga dipicu oleh faktor eksternal, seperti membaiknya saham-saham AS sehingga mendorong penguatan bursa regional. Rupiah menurutnya masih dapat bergerak naik. Namun, pencapaian angka Rp 9.100 per dollar AS kemungkinan akan tertahan oleh aksi Bank Indonesia (BI) yang kemungkinan akan melepas rupiah agar kenaikan rupiah tidak terlalu cepat.
"Rupiah bisa saja mencapai Rp 9.100 per dollar AS. Namun kenaikan yang terlalu cepat membuat pelaku usaha kesulitan untuk menentukan harga jualnya di pasar ekspor," ucapnya.
Kostaman juga mengatakan bahwa posisi rupiah saat ini sangat bagus. Dia berharap, BI dapat menjaga agar rupiah tidak merosot terlalu cepat, apalagi BI mempunyai cadangan yang cukup besar. "Kami optimistis, BI akan menjaga likuiditas rupiah agar tidak terpuruk apabila ada isu negatif yang akan menekannya lebih jauh," ucapnya.
Rupiah kembali berpeluang menempati urutan teratas dalam daftar 10 mata uang Asia yang paling banyak diperdagangkan pada tahun ini. Hal tersebut didukung oleh laju pertumbuhan PDB Indonesia yang mencapai 5,4% pada 4Q09 serta perbaikan lingkungan eksternal. Sejak BPS melaporkan pertumbuhan ekonomi tersebut pada 10 Februari lalu, nilai tukar rupiah tercatat meningkat 0,5%. Hingga bulan kedua tahun ini, rupiah menempati urutan ketiga dalam daftar kinerja mata uang Asia, dengan peringkat pertama diduduki oleh won Korea Selatan disusul oleh rupee India.
Kondisi perekonomian nasional yang stabil meningkatkan kepercayaan investor Jepang untuk berinvestasi di Indonesia. Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) menyebutkan peringkat Indonesia sebagai tujuan investasi Jepang akan menjadi yang tertinggi dibandingkan dengan negara-negara di kawasan Asean. Namun, Indonesia masih akan sulit menggeser posisi China dan India.
PT Garuda Indonesia memastikan IPO saham perseroan terealisasi pada 3Q10. Garuda menargetkan dana hasil IPO sebesar US$300-400 juta. Garuda menargetkan pertumbuhan laba bersih tahun ini sebesar 20% menjadi Rp1,2 triliun. Pendpaatan ditargetkan naik menjadi Rp21,6 triliun dibandingkan ekspektasi 2009 sebesar Rp18 triliun.
PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (SMN) berharap Bapepam-LK dapat mengeluarkan pernyataan efektif IPO saham perseroan pada 25 Februari 2010. SMN menargetkan pencatatan saham (listing) di BEI pada Maret 2010, dengan melepas 11% saham ke publik.
